I love beading and jewelry. And I can follow instructions fairly well. It’s the coming up with ideas on my own that I’m not that good at!
I have cases and cases of beads that I just *had* to have when I’m at the craft store. Then I get home and I’m not sure what to do with them. I have various weights of wire, wire tools, beading glue, needles, clasps, and all sorts of supplies! I even have one square of silver clay that someday I’m going to try and figure out. At least, I like to think so.
It’s taken me a little while (just a few years) to figure out though that while I know separate things that I like, I’m not the best at putting them together. I need ideas. Inspiration.
That said, I did sit down about a month ago and tried to put together a couple pairs of earrings out of my supplies. I came up with two designs. Finished them up, glued the knots, and then left them there because once done, they do not seem that inspiring to me. But it’s time to get back on that horse! But before I allow myself to go out and even get a magazine for help, I needed to finish the ones that I started a while ago. So, here they are!
Nothing really exciting, but not too bad. I think the dragon ones would look nice on a good macrame cord. Then again, maybe not. At least now I can put these in my earring collection and now feel good about getting some more supplies; I mean patterns/instructions!
