A few (maybe more?) months ago I knitted a small shawl/scarf from a pattern I saw in JoAnn’s. I really liked the way it knitted up and the colors, but wasn’t sure how to wear it. I showed it to a friend of mine, and she tried it on and it looked wonderful on her! Of course I gave it to her. I’m quite happy when other people like things I make, and even better when they will wear them! I don’t have the picture of her wearing it (she did post it on Instagram though!), but here is the original shawl/scarf.
The colors do not look as vibrant in the picture as they do in person, but it turned out really pretty. And again, it looks even better on my friend!
So I decided, after seeing the picture, that I wanted to make another one for myself. Back to JoAnn’s, looking at the other colors in that yarn, I found a beautiful blue and green variegated yarn. I bought a couple of skeins and made this one.
I’m really pleased with how it turned out. But, it’s summer here, and really hot, so I haven’t had a chance to wear it yet. But it will be ready for my fall wardrobe!
And just for fun, here is a picture of my granddaughter with the ice cream cone her Papa had to buy her from The Habit for just $1! She couldn’t even finish half of it 🙂
