It’s been a bit since I’ve posted, but for a good reason. My husband and I recently bought a house! Escrow was quite long, and we were never quite sure of the closing date. But, we signed papers on my grandmother’s birthday (the one that passed away last year), and closed escrow on my birthday! What a great gift.
Needless to say I put everything aside to first clean the house (with a lot of help from my Mom and girls), and then moving things in. After that it was unpacking and organizing. We’re still not done unpacking, but we’ve done a lot. And I have a like high of broken down boxes that we’re slowly putting in the trash.
Tonight was my first night though to start organizing my art room. Yes, I now have an art room! 😀 it was quite exciting you set up my serger and sewing machine, my spinning wheel, my beading supplies and my bags of yarn. I have a ways to go, but at least now I can kind of see what I need. And my wonderful friend Bev gave me an awesome gift card to help me decorate. I’m so ready to have it quite nice, but I do want to take the time to do it right.
In the meantime, I walked out my front door a couple of days ago and these beautiful flowers were blooming.
Now that the hardest part is done, I’ll be able to pick up that cardigan again and start working on it!
